We’re pretty passionate Sienna Miller fans here at Fashionista, so we’re often at our most excitable when an email blast hits our inboxes with news that the “It” Brit actress Wore a Thing. Her edged-up Bohemian style — both on and off the red carpet — is one of the more discernible palettes in Hollywood; we know what to expect from her, and yet, she somehow always surprises us. It doesn’t hurt that, because she’s Sienna Miller, she has access to pieces of which many of us could only dream. (Remember the layered tulle Gucci gown that came fresh off the runway and had us envisioning a delicious tiered marzipan cake?)
Take this Chloé dress, which walked off Clare Waight Keller’s Spring 2017 runway and straight onto Miller’s bod for the Los Angeles premiere of her forthcoming historical drama, “The Lost City of Z,” on Wednesday. With dainty lace eyelet and a swishy Boho shape, it’s as Chloé as ever, and easily could’ve been made age-appropriate for a Cool Teen™ startlet like Rowan Blanchard or Kiernan Shipka. But on Miller, it looked almost sexy, like a babydoll nightgown that Sharon Tate might’ve worn in 1965. Just look how different, how much more mature, it looks on Miller, above, than it did on the runway:
And that hair! If I had a dime for the number of times I referenced a version of that exact loose, free, slightly polished style when trying to navigate my way around a curling iron, I’d probably have about $ 2.50.
Miller has a gift, and we’ll never understand it.
