She also chose an on-trend Stephen Jones beret for a church service at Westminster Abbey.
Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We’ll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, „Meghan Markle Wore a Thing.“
Breaking her streak of wearing American brands like J.Crew and Jason Wu, American soon-to-be British royal Meghan Markle chose a coat by London designer Amanda Wakeley for her latest appearance. She paired the cream coat with a matching (and very on-trend) Stephen Jones beret for a church service celebrating Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey on Monday. And if you’re in the market for a white coat, this one’s still available for $ 1,199 on the designer’s website. She also accessorized with her go-to Manolo Blahnik pumps and a Mulberry bag.
The outing was of special significance as it marks her first official appearance with the Queen. It’s also the largest annual interfaith gathering in the U.K., according to People, and will include a performance by Liam Payne.
Markle and Prince Harry arrived with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; Kate Middleton wore a repeat Beulah London coat and dress for the occasion, which she’d previously worn in 2015 while pregnant with Charlotte.
